Beta-carotene
Beta-Carotene is a plant pigment that gives red, orange, and yellow vegetables their vibrant color (most famously carrots); however, we source ours from Blakeslea Trispora, a healthy type of fungus. When ingested, this carotenoid converts to vitamin A, a powerful retinoid and antioxidant with a unique ability to ward off the harmful effects of free radicals.
