Lutein Esters

What is Lutein Esters

Lutein, an antioxidant abundantly found in flowers such as marigolds, supports the body’s natural antioxidation and anti-inflammation responses, thus helping to reduce free radicals that cause retinal injury. Research has demonstrated that lutein is crucial for enhancing eye health by providing a yellow filter that absorbs blue light in the retina, promoting macular wellness and improving glare recovery. Additionally, studies have shown that lutein increases the accumulation of pigment in the macula, thereby increasing its density. This capability is linked to enhancing ocular function and mitigation of the progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Furthermore, Lutein has shown favorable outcomes in promoting brain health and skin health as well.
