Calcium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose

Carboxymethylcellulose Calcium (Ca-CMC) is a cellulose derivative substance that rapidly swells by absorbing water. March of cellulose, which is suitable in terms of food hygiene and physicochemical properties, is obtained from plant biosystem. Having or maintaining a good condition in terms of color and odor, it keeps good self-stability.

In water, cellulose carries out carboxymethylation at the polarized state in order to increase swelling and disintegrability then it is made into calcium salt for the purpose of improving hygroscopicity and stability. Ca-CMC, in drugs, is used for excellent disintegrant. Ca-CMC is perfectly non-toxic and harmless to human body.
